Family Creation Counseling
When my partner and I decided to become parents, we were flooded with questions, a million places with opinions, and no easy way to walk through it, and I am a lawyer! So I know it is much greater for those who do not have that advantage.
So, I created this Family Creation Counseling service.
This service is for anyone who needs assistance in having children, whether that is because you are a single parent, dealing with issues of infertility, don’t have all the material yourselves, or you wish to go another route than the old fashion way.
Through working with me, we will do a comprehensive walk through of your options and the legal requirements and steps required for each.
We will walk through:
- Assisted reproductive technology: known versus unknown sperm or egg donor contracts, appealing insurance denials, contracts regarding the storage or disposal of biological material, surrogacy contracts.
- Birth certificates: domestic and international; registering birth of children with multiple citizenships.
- Adoption: private versus public adoption, foster care, second parent adoption and intended parent contracts.
My goal is for you to walk away feeling empowered and excited about whatever your next steps hold.
