Our Approach

Trauma-Informed

Pattern Law meets each client where they are, with an understanding that who we are today is impacted by the things that have happened across our lives.

Before opening Pattern Law, founder Theo Ciccarelli Cornetta, Esq. worked directly with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect. They spent 17 years developing expertise in trauma recognition and support, working as a director of a rape crisis center, an attorney advocate for children in foster care, and an attorney working with LGBTQIA+ survivors of violence, discrimination, and harassment.

Empowerment-Based

We start each client relationship with the belief that you know your life better than anyone else. Our job is to offer our specialized skills and knowledge to help clients live their best lives, as they define them. In working with Pattern Law, you will always be the leader, directing where we go. It is our job to figure out how to get there and to take work off your plate.

Fierce, but Compassionate

We are not afraid of a fight and have years of experience litigating contentious matters. We are aggressive, proactive, and skilled. However, we also believe there is no reason to fight just for the sake of fighting. We carve a path of aggressive litigation while still maintaining compassion for the other side. We are strategic and kind in our practice, knowing that in many instances, family law especially, parties are likely to interact with each other after a case is closed.
